Jade Mountain is a one-of-a-kind escape in St. Lucia with one of the Island’s best views of both Pitons over the Caribbean Sea. There is no hallway of identical hotel room doors in a line, but instead “rooms” are called “sanctuaries” and each one has a private bridge entrance and your very own infinity pool.  The open concept and natural soundtrack of birds allows you to feel fully immersed in your own private luxurious treehouse above it all. I stayed there two nights courtesy of Jade Mountain in exchange for honest article and video content.

Getting there: Fly into Hewanorra International Airport UVF, a four-hour flight from Miami, where a hotel representative will greet you with chilled water and refreshing cold towels with a hint of peppermint. From there it is a 60 minute drive to the resort.

Location: The location is a close drive to Soufriere but far enough away that you feel secluded on your own private bay surrounded only by the sounds of birds and wildlife. Jade is just above its sister property Anse Chastanet on the hill, with a slightly better view.

Check In: Checking in was easy and everyone greeted me by name and were quick and attentive locating the reservation and delivering another cold towel. Entering our room we were also greeted with Champagne surrounded by beautiful towel swans with local pink flowers decorating the entire space.

The Room: A long hallway leads you into the bedroom with amazing unobstructed views. The design of the hotel guarantees every room has the amazing Piton view, but each room is customized with a different colored tiles and sized infinity pools. There are only three walls, with a fourth wall completely open to nature and the view. This means only a few rooms have air conditioning but with multiple fans and the cool ocean breeze the room feels perfect. I stayed in the JD4 room which had one of the largest pools, which was rectangular, where you can potentially swim laps. I would also recommend the JE3 red sanctuary which has an amazing 270 degree view and a beautiful ledge over the pool for incredible photos.

Bathroom: The bathroom is an open concept, raised a few steps up in the room, with only a short wall around it so that you can enjoy a bubble bath or shower with a view of the pitons. The whirlpool tub can fit two, where you can also turn on colored light chromatherapy.
Bathrobes and slippers: The two wardrobes come with cozy white bathrobes and slippers with the Jade logo.

Wi-Fi: Just after checking in, someone came to check that our personal motum for wifi was working. Although they avoid having too much technology like a phone in room the ability to connect to wifi was easy and the restaurant wifi was also fast. Butler service also provides you with your own small cell phone to call your Major Domo for any need you might have.

Water: Complimentary water and soft drinks were chilling in the fridge along with the above daily snacks. They were also happy to provide additional options, when asking for two Diet Cokes for example, they brought four.

Coffee/tea: A Keurig is provided in room.

Power plugs: The room comes with an adapter and transformer for US plugs and an US extension cord so you can plug in multiple things at once.

Pool: The infinity pool in every room is perhaps my favorite touch. Each pool and room has an iridescent tile color scheme, ours was blue. With multiple tiered steps into the pool, it was easy to relax with the gorgeous view.

Dining: There are 7 total restaurants available and with the all-inclusive packages dining or room service became a favorite part of the day! For breakfast, you can have a more relaxed buffet style meal at the Treehouse Restaurant. Most of our meals we went to the convenient Jade Mountain Club which has the resort’s best 360 degree views, where breakfast was sit down and my favorite dish was between the avocado toast and the volcanic egg with black truffle and pancetta. For lunch at the Jade Club I couldn’t get enough of the pork sandwich on a brioche roll. They have several vegetarian options and the quinoa wrap was also a flavorful favorite. For dinner try the steak. Some evenings you can even enjoy jazz or steel drum performances.

Mosquitos: Mosquito repellent spray and coils are provided in your room, which is helpful due to the room is open ‘s open air elements. Turn down service includes spraying for mosquitos and closing your mosquito nets over the bed.

Fitness: There are a variety of outdoor activities available from snorkeling, scuba diving, jungle biking, kayaking to yoga classes. I attended the 7am yoga class on the Jade roof deck, which was especially peaceful as I was the only one there so it became a private lesson. They also provide private yoga sessions in room. They offer two more yoga classes each day on the beach (shuttle service available at request).

The Verdict: Everyone should stay at Jade Mountain at least once in their life! This romantic resort is perfect for special occasions, proposals or honeymoons. It was one of my all-time favorite stays with Major Domo Butler service unlike any service I’ve ever experienced in my life. For example, when I had a very uneven tan and needed to shoot a video I asked if there was any chance they had foundation, minutes later the female Major Domo (who has been there for 11 years) whisked me away in a private shuttle to the beachside spa where they have a makeup expert with everything you might need or forget! The attention to detail to make sure we were comfortable completely exceeded expectations. I would absolutely recommend it and hope to stay there again in the future!
